I mostly picked out the news involving Daniel Wu and Miriam Yeung because I'm biased like that. :p However, with them comes fun stuff about Louis Koo, a starting to be somewhat endearing Shawn Yue, and Stephen Fung, so yay. :) And Anthony Wong, who doesn't have a tag but is a BAMF. :p And Vivian Hsu, and Richie Ren. :D
Seriously, if I had been at the film preview I would have flailed like a mofo. Because this is a collection of awesomeness. Aside from that though, I'm REALLY excited for the list of films :D :D :D
That said, I bolded points of interest that have to do with the people tagged in the post because it is a LONG ASS Consolidated post. Seriously. It happens with the amount of starpower that was there.
[2010.03.25] MEDIA ASIA 2010 Film Preview @ HKIFF
Media Asia two nights ago held a 2010 new film preview at the Hong Kong International Film Festival. Company boss Peter Lam Kin Ngok led actors and directors in new film introductions. They included the Dante Lam Chiu Yin directed, Leon Lai Ming and Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai) starred FIRE OF CONSCIENCE (FOR LUNG); the Andrew Lau Wai Keung directed, Donnie Yen Chi Tan, Shu Qi and Anthony Wong Chau Sun starred THE LEGEND OF THE FIST THE RETURN OF CHEN ZHEN (JING MO YING HUNG -- CHEN ZHEN); the Felix Chong Man Keung directed, Dior Cheng Yi Kin and Jordan Chan Siu Fun starred ONCE A MOBSTER (FEI SA FUNG JUNG SHUEN); the Johnnie To Kei Fung produced, Wong Chau Sun and Yam Yin Chai starred PUNISHED (BO YING); the To Kei Fung directed, Lau Ching Wan and Yam Yin Chai starred DUET MING GUM (DEATH OF A HOSTAGE); the Pang Ho Cheung directed, Miriam Yeung Chin Wa and Shawn Yue Man Lok starred LOVE IN A PUFF (CHI MING YU CHUN GIU); the Derek Kwok Chi Kin directed, Janice Man Wing Shan, Janice Vidal (Wai Lan) and Araif Lee Chi Ting starred FROZEN (WAI NEI JUNG CHING); the Wai Ka Fai directed, Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho), Louis Koo Tin Lok and Gao Yuanyuan starred DAN SUN NAM NUI (SINGLE MAN WOMAN); and the Feng Xiaogang directed AFTER SHOCK.
The event arranged for the host Lee Ho Lam to briefly converse with the actors in Mandarin and English, to introduce the characters and stories. When Lee Ho Lam asked Yam Yin Chai in Mandarin whether his FIRE OF CONSCIENCE character was conspiring and accidentally made it sound like "pubic hair", the audience cracked up. Yam Yin Chai indecently answered, "I think most people here have it!" The film's action director Chin Kar Lok said, "I am better off switching back to Cantonese, otherwise my pubic hair would be out too." Chin Kar Lok said that director Lam Chiu Yin was very deranged, taking Lai Ming and Yip Shuen to shoot up outside Central HSBC with machine guns on a Saturday. He was asked about advanced application, Chin Kar Lok joked, "Half, you can say it was applied for."
Yam Yin Chai at the FIRE OF CONSCIENCE premiere expressed that at first he thought he heard the host wrong, then Siu Chai immediately demonstrated the correct pronunciation. As for Chin Ka Lok's claim that the director was deranged, Siu Chai pointed out that the director gave the police film depth and achieved both pace and quintessence. As for the new film that he and Sammi Cheng Sau Man have talked about for a long time, Siu Chai said, "So far it still hasn't been confirmed. I look forward to working with Sammi very much, but for now it isn't ready yet."
Vivian Hsu (Tsui Yuek Suen) at the introduction said that she was cursed. She explained that in FIRE OF CONSCIENCE men who were with her became lost and cursed, with tragedy at any moment. As for real life, she said, "Tragic events would only happen at work, before tragedy I already escaped. In addition, I never run into anything this serious." Siu Suen continuously communicated with gestures with Shu Qi who was in the audience. She expressed that they have known each other for a long time and they were only talking about their skin. At the premiere, Tsui Yuek Suen expressed that she did not know that the press would be present so she ate too much. Siu Suen expressed that lately she stayed in Taiwan for a long time and did not see Stephen Fung tak Lun. Did they still have normal relationship? She said, "We always have been, over the phone and MSN, but it's not a relationship."

Leon Lai Ming at the Media Asia 2010 new film preview introduced his new film FIRE OF CONSCIENCE (FOR LUNG). The host asked him about his facial hair. He curiously responded in English, "It's good!" Then he proceeded to respond with single English words. Off stage Felix Chong Man Keung screamed, "Don't mess around!" Lai Ming explained that the event stipulated that either English or Mandarin must be used. He only responded to the host. Later Jordan Chan Siu Fun was asked about working with Dior Cheng Yi Kin on their new film. Siu Chun imitated Lai Ming and said, "Good!"
Later, Leon somewhat under the influence attended the FIRE OF CONSCIENCE premiere. When asked about his confidence in the new film, he seriously said, "I will give you a professional answer. Actors are the most afraid of three questions, the first is whether we are confident in the box office, we can't control the box office; the second one is about how we perform, I am not just acting for myself; the third one is whether anything funny happened during the shoot. The shoot is serious, how can anything funny happen." Leon pointed out that the director wanted to express that each person at different times would have an inner demon. If it could be suppressed, life would take a different route. Speaking of a duel of men, Leon expressed that he played the character with a man's mentality. Has Leon felt this way before? Leon said, "In the film I almost walked crooked, when you walked crooked you can't see that. Yet when someone looked back, you still walked crooked." When asked whether his wife will show her support, Leon said, "No comment, sorry, I know in front of camera is dead silence."
Leon also changed the subject to the production. He said, "During the shoot I was climbing the wall. During preparation, someone downstairs was chanting pro democracy slogans and promoting for a certain council member. They screamed support democracy and vote for their representative council member. I was up side preparing, when I climbed very high to prepare they were chanting very unprofessionally. I was waiting for the shoot very professional. They were so unprofessional, perhaps that council member paid them too little and they ran out of gas. Yet I was serious about making this movie. Their topic was very serious but they weren't." During the interview and the event, Leon had two bodyguards by hise side. When asked whether they were personal security, he said, "I don't know them, maybe they are the film festival's arrangement."
Leon's former girlfriend Shu Qi and Donnie Yen Chi tan also promoted their film THE LEGEND OF THE FIST THE RETURN OF CHEN ZHEN (JING MO FUNG WON -- CHEN ZHEN). Shu Qi at the event did not have any exchange or toast with Leon. During the group photo they were very far apart. Shu Qi during the interview expressed that during the shoot the temperature was only two degrees Celsius below zero, but Chi Tan was injured and hospitalized. After some I-V saline solution he instantly returned to work without any complaint. He absolutely was a gentle tough guy. Shu Qi expressed that she was very envious of his wife, that Yen Chi Tan was a good example of an ideal boyfriend. "Chi Tan is the nicest guy and is also talented. This is the type of boyfriend people should look for."
Yen Chi Tan was used to slow production progress, but this time with director Andrew Lau Wai Keung the shoot was completed in advance. Chi Tan said, "This time broke through my slow film production history and even was able to be completed under the director's budget. This movie is the fastest completion in my career. Lau Wai Keung is not only fast but also very capable."

LEGEND OF THE FIST THE RETURN OF CHEN ZHEN (JING MO FUNG WON -- CHEN ZHEN)'s Anthony Wong Chau Sun yesterday expressed that he recently reached 180 pounds and had to lost 20 pounds. Chau Sun was extremely displease with his Mainland television series production. He said that every time the boss came to the set he had to direct. The originally 30 episodes were dragged on by multiples, a lot of which was wasted and cut as the cast wasted its time. Chau Sun said, "In the end I too threw a tantrum at him. Originally the director asked me to wear an armor in the heat for a scene, later the boss arrived and I had to play another scene. I was so mad that I took off the armor and returned to my room. I yelled at him that everyday was like this."
Chau Sun said that the series actors not only did not have time to rest but also to bathe. An Actor did not bathe for three days and stank up the set. Many actors became ill. "Some extras worked while coughing. I asked him whether he was ill, when he turned around he had green fluid coming out of his nostrils. A Korean actor even had Type A Influenza symptoms. From now on I would have to be very careful with Mainland series. This time was absurd from beginning to end. Many extras were on the phone on the set and constantly took actor photos with their photos like they were at the zoo. They even walked back and forth in front of the camera." Chau Sun also revealed that Tse Kwan Ho suffered burns from poorly made props. At the time an actress' costume was on fire and Tse Kwan Ho bravely put it out. Chau Sun said, "Tse Kwan Ho's face was burnt, luckily the skin graft was successful and now his skin is smooth."
Miriam Yeung Chin Wa, Shawn Yue Man Lok and director Pang Ho Cheung introduced their new film LOVE IN A PUFF (CHI MING YU CHUN GIU). Chin Wa expressed that she could enjoy a beautiful romance without any responsibility. Chin Wa said that the film's bed scene was very special. "Two people in bed did not have any action, only exchanged looks." As for LOVE IN A PUFF's category III rating in Hong Kong, she pointed out that many films had foul language content, but perhaps this time was excessive fluent so it required parental guidance. Yue Man Lok just joined the Media Asia banner and was immediately assigned to almost four movies. Yue Man Lok humbly expressed that the director had to feel he was suitable for him to have a chance to perform. Did he give gifts to directors to introduce himself? Pang Ho Cheung jokingly paraphrased Stephen Chan Chi Wan, "Gifts can't be accepted, the ones who accepted are in trouble." Chin Wa joked that Yue Man Lok could knit sweaters and make turnip cakes for directors, then he would have no problem.
Gao Yuanyuan, Louis Koo Tin Lok and Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho) introduced the Wai Ka Fai written DAN SUN NAM NUI (SINGLE MAN WOMAN). Gao Yuanyuan looked forward to working with two hunks. "My female friends all asked when am I working with these two hunks." Director Johnnie To Kei Fung joked, "I thought the hunks she referred to were me and Wai Ka Fai." Koo Tin Lok was asked about his impression of Gao Yuanyuan. "She always wears very little clothes."
