Arroy Shen dies from brain hemorrhage

Ex-Comic Boyz member Arroy Shen reportedly underwent a high-risk surgery to remove a blood clot in his brain recently.
He was said to be in a coma after the operation due to a lack of oxygen in his brain.

In an unfortunate turn of events, the Taiwanese artiste suffered a right brain hemorrhage that led to acute renal failure. The 29-year-old was extubated (process of removing life support to allow a patient to die naturally and passed away at home last Friday.

Arroy's sudden passing was a great blow to his 86-year-old grandmother, whom he shared a close-knit relationship with. He once shared that he tattooed her name on his body and that he wanted to share the pain of her old-age illnesses.

"Everyone dies. I should go because I'm old. But he's so young. He doesn't deserve to go. I'm willing to die in my grandson's place," said Arroy's grandma, who was inconsolable.

Arroy's parents divorced shortly after he was born and he was placed under his grandma's care. His parents regarded him as a burden as they went on to form their new families; he was brought home by his father only at the age of seven.
