"U," niece of Onimusha's Takeshi Kaneshiro, stars as aloof female strategist.

DeNA began streaming the first commercial by director Kenji Kamiyama (Eden of the East, 009 Re:Cyborg) and his Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex composer Yoko Kanno (Cowboy Bebop, Escaflowne, Macross Plus/Frontier) for DeNA's social card game Daisenran!! "The Entire Army Assembles" commercial stars "U," the Taiwanese model and niece of Japanese-Taiwanese actor Takeshi Kaneshiro (Onimusha), as an aloof female strategist. DeNA is also streaming a making-of video. (Found at the source)

In the game, players can form their own military units in China's wartorn Three Kingdoms era, cooperate with friends, and fight with other users throughout Japan in real-time battles.

HOW LOVELY OF THEM TO MENTION ONIMUSHA!! 'cause, you know, that's how he and I met (if you know what I mean? How I became a fan of his.) ;; :D :D ;;

Any American fans who want to see Huang Xiaoming?

Question: Are there any Huang Xiaoming fans who live in the United States and would be interested in meeting him?

UPDATE #2: I’ve been PMing back and forth with the HXM fanclub, and here’s a summary of our discussion:
  • *Basically* their ideal situation is that I find a total of six (6) fans who are available, no matter what time or what location, to see HXM. In this case, they will report that there is such an interest and may arrange something. idk about you guys, but I don’t fall in that category, so we have to do the best with what we have.

  • HXM’s schedule, obviously, will take precedence. The times and locations of any fan events will depend on where and when he is filming. Unless there is a *very* strong demand, it is unlikely that he will be able to fly all over the country.

  • It is not yet confirmed where he will travel to. I suspect that his management does know where he’s going — he’s filming, for goodness’ sake, you can’t just fly him anywhere — but they’re keeping things quiet. If I had to guess, New York is a very good possibility, because his stylist is already there.

  • HXM should stay in the U.S. for “rather long.” Unfortunately, that’s pretty subjective. The best we can hope for is that he stays longer here than he did in Taiwan (which was, like, three days).

  • My very last PM was to request that any fan events be held on weekends, since I’m guessing that most of y’all are still students. I have not yet received a reply (since it’s sleeptime in China). I would not hold out much hope that they will honor this request, but I had to try.

Following is a list of the cities on my list, along with a number of tentative attendees. Remember, the magic number is 6.
  1. New York City, NY (4)
  2. San Francisco, CA (3)
  3. Chicago, IL (2)
  4. Los Angeles, CA (2)
  5. Salt Lake City, UT (1)
  6. Philadelphia, PA (1)

Like I said previously, NYC is a very good possibility, although I can’t say for sure. But fans who live in NYC or in the vicinity, if you can find some more fans (I would say 3-4 to be safe), we may see something.

As always, please message me or send me an Ask if you would like me to add you to the list. If you live in or around NYC, now is the time to speak up!

Ex-lover sues Stephen Chow for $80m

A former lover is suing comedy king Stephen Chow for close to HK$80 million over a Peak property he owns.

Socialite and noted investor Alice Yu Man-fung uses Chow's real name - Stephen Chiau Sing-chi - in a High Court action.

It comes after Yu says she rejected an offer by him to settle over House No 12 at Skyhigh on Pollock's Path with payments over at least four years - though he now disputes owing anything.

Yu, who is in her 40s, says Chiau offered to pay HK$10 million a year for three years and HK$50 million in the fourth year if the house was sold.

In her writ, Yu says she and Chiau became romantically linked in 1997 and went on to forge a business relationship. But they parted in March 2010.
