China's Weibo microblog introduces user contracts

China's biggest microblogging service has introduced a code of conduct explicitly restricting the type of messages that can be posted.

Weibo - which resembles Twitter - took the action after local authorities criticised "unfounded" rumours posted by some users.

Reports suggest a credit score system will also be introduced with points deducted for rule breaches.

Repeat offenders face having their accounts deleted.

The service's parent, Sina Corp, says it has more than 300 million registered users.

Chen Kaige's "Caught in the Web" releases trailer

Featuring real-life couple Gao Yuanyuan and Mark Zhao in addition to a supporting cast of Yao Chen,  Wang Luodan and Wang Xuexin ,  director Chen Kaige's latest  film "Caught in the Web"   revolves around a young secretary whose presumed thoughtless behavior on a bus is recorded by a cell phone, goes viral on the web and mushrooms into a national firestorm.

"We are more connected than ever, but ironically more detached from one another," Chen said. "On the web, people create their own interpretations of reality that take on a life of their own, becoming more important than the truth. In a sense, we're in the middle of a new Cultural Revolution: society now values perception over reality."
