Taipei, May 4 (CNA) Taiwanese-Japanese actor and singer Takeshi Kaneshiro (金城武) would be the top dream partner of Taiwanese mothers if they could choose somebody with whom to share a free trip on Mother's Day, according to a survey conducted by online hotel booking service Hotels.com.
Hong Kong actor and singer Andy Lau (劉德華) was second while Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je (柯文哲) was a surprise third, ahead of Japanese actor and singer Takuya Kimura and U.S. actor Brad Pitt.
The survey of Taiwan's mothers on their views of Mother's Day gifts was conducted to coincide with Mother's Day, which falls on May 10 this year.
The survey found that over half of the mothers (51.3 percent) interviewed said they hoped to get a trip as a present.
The destinations mothers preferred most was Tokyo, followed by Taiwanese cities, Paris and Dubai.
Over half of those polled also said they hoped to enjoy a spa treatment on their trip to relieve themselves from pressure.
Forty-four percent of the mothers also said they hoped for a big dinner prepared by a Michelin chef, and 37.3 percent of the mothers said they hoped to go on a shopping spree.
The survey also found that nearly 80 percent of mothers said if they were to get a trip as a Mother's Day gift, they would most want to go with their families and least want to spend the journey together with their fathers- and mothers-in-law.
